Price includes: Personal daily tuition, evening presentations and discussions, welcome drinks reception, dinner bed and breakfast for 5 nights and VAT.
Price does not include: Transport to Painting Venues on the Lizard chosen as subjects to paint en plein air. Guests are required to arrange their own transport in their own vehicles please, with car share on location a popular option.
Course Information –
The watercolour painting holiday comprise of five nights dinner, bed and breakfast with four full days of painting. Tuition is informal, informative but most of all, fun. There will be demonstrations where Louise shows how to tackle scenes in stages, discussions and critiques, which are supportive. The course is practical, students will be encouraged to do thumbnail sketches on location and paint en plein air. Mullion Hotel is an ideal situation with many breathtaking locations to paint in close proximity such as Cadgwith, Coverack and Kynance Cove to mention a few.
The course commences on Sunday evening with welcome drinks – a good time to get to know each other; non-painting partners are most welcome. (This course is not suitable for beginners.)
Cornwall has a special place in Louise’s affections as her family spent many happy holidays here in her childhood. She draws inspiration and harmony from the fantastic scenes and dramatic scenes on offer. Louise strives to capture the essence of each scene with your vibrant use of watercolour. She is a popular artist, demonstrator, her lively and encouraging style of teaching is infectious, you will find yourself enjoying the same journey she experiences as she applies paint to capture the excitement and vibrancy of the scene. Her ability to inspire others is impressive; it’s no wonder she is in demand by Art groups as a demonstrator!
Louise is currently tutoring 5-day courses at Mullion Cove Hotel, where the dramatic scenery is a huge inspiration to any budding artist from the vast cliff tops to the quaint harbour at Coverack. Louise will share her passion and joy of painting in this medium and reveal all the tricks she uses to achieve particular effects. You are sure to feel inspired and keen to paintbrush to paper. You will need to bring your normal painting equipment, further information about the course and suggested equipment will be sent to you by Louise nearer the date.

More about your Painting Holiday Tutor –
Louise has over 15 years teaching experience; she is a natural teacher with a good sense of humour. She does not take herself seriously but, certainly takes painting seriously. She is able to inspire others with her clear instructions and step-by-step demonstrations. Her love of painting en plein air allows her to capture a scene with energy. Louise’s work is widely collected.
