Drawing and Painting Holiday with Kevin Scully
Join Kevin Scully at the delightful Mullion Cove Hotel where he will be leading a five night ‘Drawing and Painting Break’ for artists of all levels of ability, from the beginner to the more experienced. The hotel in South Cornwall, with its nearby beaches and coves and beautiful cliff top position, is the perfect base from which to visit the many nearby painting locations including Porthleven, Cadgwith, and Kynance Cove. Mullion is the largest village on the Lizard peninsular and has a number of shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants, craft shops and art galleries.
Mullion Cove has a pretty working harbour and lies within the Cornwall Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Weather permitting, we will be working ‘en plein air’ at a different location each day. Kevin will give tuition in a small group of approximately 10 people. You will be free to choose which medium you would like to work in, so please bring all of your favourite materials or even some that you would like to use for the first time.
The course will start with a welcome drinks reception on Sunday evening and will finish on Friday morning. Wherever possible and weather permitting, students will be encouraged to draw and paint at some of the many exciting nearby locations. Should the weather be not so kind, there is a room available at the hotel where we will be able to work. All levels of experience will be catered for, and everyone will be assured of plenty of individual attention.
